One cookie, and it is the one that keeps you signed in.

Draft, awaiting legal review. This document describes what LawyerSaathi actually does and is accurate to the best of our knowledge, but it has not yet been reviewed by an independent advocate. Treat it as a statement of our practices rather than as settled legal drafting.

This is a short document, because LawyerSaathi uses very little client-side storage and none of it is for tracking.

There are no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no third-party tracking scripts anywhere in this product — not Google Analytics, not Tag Manager, not a Meta pixel, not a session recorder. Nothing here follows you to another website, and nothing here builds a profile of you.

1The cookie we set

Cookie	Purpose
sb-…-auth-token	Your signed-in session. Written by our authentication library when you sign in, refreshed as you browse, and cleared when you sign out. Without it you would be signed out on every page. It is strictly necessary, so it is not optional and there is nothing to consent to.

2Other storage in your browser

Two things are kept in your browser rather than as cookies. Neither is sent to our server and neither identifies you.

Key	Purpose
lawyersaathi.theme (local storage)	Whether you chose the light theme, the dark theme, or to follow your device. Remembered so the page does not flash the wrong one while loading.
Draft recovery (session storage)	A copy of what you are typing in the Document Generator, so a reload or a crash does not lose it. Session storage is cleared by the browser when you close the tab, which is deliberate: a client’s details should not outlive the sitting you were working in.

3Managing it

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the session cookie will prevent you signing in at all, since it is how the service knows who you are. Clearing local storage will simply forget your theme choice.

4If this changes

If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly necessary — anything for analytics or measurement — we will ask for your consent before setting it, and this page will list it. Until then, the table above is the whole of it.
